    WELCOME TO KAMP KEIRSEY

Kamp Keirsey is owned and operated by Osage River Baptist Association. It is located on 22 acres one hour south of Kansas City, MO. The land was donated by the John Ephland Family in 1967 and is named for Marvin Keirsey, Director of Missions 1971-1981. The mission of this camp ministry is to glorify God by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14 (NKJV)

NEW KAMP MANAGER

On Tuesday December 13th the ORBA Executive Board overwhelmingly voted in Dr. David Hertzog as the next manager of Kamp Keirsey.
In an email Osage River Baptist Association  Director of Mission Dr. Woody Wilson said:
“The Kamp Keirsey Camp Manager Search Committee, Dr. Terry Davis, Chairman, has completed their work of finding the person who will take on the position of Camp Manager at our great Kamp Keirsey. His name is David Hertzog. He is a retiring Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine, Together with his wife Kristie, he is looking forward to this change in their lives. They are active members of the Big Creek Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill. David serves as a deacon there and they both have been involved in youth and children's ministries.
The Search Committee is unanimous in their decision to bring him before the Executive Board for a vote of call to be our new Camp Manager.”

Please rejoice with us as we welcome our new Kamp manager. Please pray also for the transition process during the 2023 kamp season as we (Bill and Sharon) will continue to assist in the Kamp ministry through the end of July 2023.

SUMMER MISSIONS PAID INTERNSHIP

https://mobaptist.org/student-ministries/summer-missions/

We are looking for 8 Summer Missionaries for the 2024 camp season. Summer Missions is a ten week internship (May through August)  made possible through the Missouri Missions Offering of the Missouri Baptist Convention that pairs Missouri college students with a camp team to serve in a variety of ways throughout the summer, while meeting weekly with their mentor to catch a glimpse into their life and ministry. Students will be serving as a camp leader at Super Summer and at Kamp Keirsey, working with a local church at VBS.

If you are a college student who is missions-minded and would like to earn $1,600 for the summer being on mission at Kamp Keirsey, please contact David Hertzog @ 660-227-3302

See a short video of past Summer Missionaries and how a Kamp Keirsey internship changed lives. https://youtu.be/r0mtKAllcG4

KAMP KEIRSEY LIAISON PROGRAM

current liaisons  19/28

In order to better communicate with the 28 churches in ORBA, Kamp Keirsey has initiated the KAMP KEIRSEY LIAISON PROGRAM.
li·ai·son . A person who acts as a link to assist communication or cooperation between groups of people.

Here is how the program works: One person from each church will act as the Kamp liaison to promote Kamp activities, distribute Kamp news and information, recruit workers for specific projects, and encourage the other church members to take an active role in our association’s Kamp. We are truly blessed to have our own camp and I believe this program will help unite ORBA around its historical Kamp. Please call me and volunteer for your church today!
